Braces : Part 2

Holla guys!

It is been 6 month since I had my braces and I have seen some noticeable changes. Yeay!

Having braces put on does not hurt at all. However a few hours after the braces being attached my teeth likely begin to hurt a little bit.

Here a lil update on my braces put on procedure.

My braces takes about one and a half hour to be put in. During the process, the dentist cleaned and dried my teeth. Then she put on some glue (special glue) to holds the bracket on. The special glue taste suck. Yucks. The last things was the dentist put the archwires on the bracket and secure everything with elastic bands. I got white band for my first colour.

I do feel the 'intense pain' that comes along when the braces do its work. I love it when I felt my teeth was moving because it proved that the braces are working! The changes I first noticed and felt was that my lower teeth.  I felt them move a little bit which was great since that was one of my concerns. So that moved but I know that is still needs more work plus I need to change my tongue habits. Literally it was so hard to change your habits that you have done it for 18 years and you need to practice everyday so that it won't happen again.  Yeah practice makes perfect.

FYI,I only ate soft food like porridge for two weeks. TWO WEEKS OKAY! Okay enough for that. My dentist gave me pain reliever like aspirin and orthodontic wax that I can use whenever I feel uncomfortable with my bracket.

I get to used to my braces within two months. My dentist said that after  6 months I'm wearing braces I probably won't notice that they are there at all. Yeah I started to feel like that. Sometimes. I do forgot that I'm wearing braces. Hahaha. I started to experience amounts of pain randomly. For example my wire started to poke my cheeks and hurts af. My dentist said it is normal and the pain won't stay longer and will go away but then it will come again if I'm not taking a good care of my oral health. Hehehe.

I think that's all for today because we have come to the end of this post. I will continue my journey with braces in next post. Seeya!
