Rohingya people.

Assalamualaikum.

Recently, the Rohingya refugees crisis had caught the world 's attention including me. Rohingya refugees has dubbed as "boat people" by international media because they had been migrating to Bangladesh and Southeast Asia countries like Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and our country Malaysia.

Rohingya refugees been persecuted for decades because they are "stateless entities" as the Myanmar government has been refusing to recognize them as one of the ethnics of the country.  The sad things is they have been kicked off their land and attacked by both Myanmar military and Bhuddist extremists. They lack legal protection from the govt and this situation has lead them try to illegally enter Southeast Asia country begging for humanitarian protection.

I wonder why has the international community remained silent? Why do the Myanmar Government doesn't want to recognize them as one of the ethnics of the country? I know that US president, Barack Obama has urged Myanmar's government to end discrimination against Rohingya people but do the govt really take action regarding to this?

I can't imagine how do they survive when there are hundreds of people cramped in a small boat with no food,no drink and extreme weather conditions. All the elderly, man, women and children risking their life to get chance to live.

I'm so grateful that I live in a harmony country despite the political and ringgit issues. I still have place where I can called it as home. May Allah blessed Malaysia and helps the citizens faces all the difficulties that we had recently.
